Welcome to the official Town of Homer website. On this page you’ll find all of our day-to-day services and contact information.
The Town of Homer is located in Central New York approximately 30 minutes from the City of Syracuse, and is the third-largest municipality in Cortland County (2010 U.S. Census population, 6405) with respect to population.
It contains the Village of Homer, which is an historic community that was first settled in 1791 along and near the banks of the Tioughnioga River. One block west of the River is Main Street in the Village, along which remains a relatively unspoiled 19th century downtown with a Village Green surrounded by churches, houses and the elementary school.

Supervisor Update
The Town of Homer continues to make progress on important infrastructure, highway, and facility improvement projects while maintaining responsible financial planning and public engagement. Recent highlights include the successful Town Hall and Highway Building Open House, continued work on the Town Hall renovation project, ongoing road maintenance and drainage improvements, and review of traffic safety and seasonal road policies. The town board also continues working with regional partners on long-term planning, infrastructure coordination, and maintaining efficient and transparent Town operations.

Town of Homer New York
The Town and Village are partnering with the NYS Municipal Health Insurance Consortium for a Community Toiletry Drive from June 1st through June 30th! There will be a donation box in the Homer Town Hall, 31 N Main Street. Help support local individuals and families by donating essential hygiene items
