Town Court Hours: Court is normally held the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 5:00PM, vehicle and traffic tickets at 4PM. Court is not held on Holidays or 5th Tuesdays.
Please use the side door for Court, located on Water Street.

Court Clerk Office Hours: 

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

The office is closed on legal holidays.

Ticket Information: 

If you receive a traffic ticket in the Town of Homer, please follow these instructions:

Plead either guilty or not guilty on the ticket and mail the ticket to:
Homer Town Court
4 Water Street, Homer, NY 13077.

Section A is a Guilty Plea:
If you make a guilty plea, the Judge will simply set your fine and send you notification through the mail of that fine and the New York State Mandated Surcharge if there is one. You will be given 30 days to pay.

Section B is a Not Guilty plea:
If you make a Not Guilty Plea, the court will mail a letter to you regarding how to proceed.

To avoid a suspension of your driver’s license, you must mail your plea to our court.

If you are charged with a Misdemeanor level crime or higher, you will need to appear in court on the date the officer provided for arraignment. A Plea sent through the mail cannot be accepted.
